upon a night of reflection (getting over a cold so not thinking clearly) and the relocations, these appear to NOT be on the Mendocino fault. but probably along a north-south oriented right-lateral strike-slip fault in the North America plate.

Earlier today, a M6.8 earthquake struck the Philippines, just offshore Mindanao. This represents the 2nd largest aftershock of a M7.6 last December.
Delayed large aftershocks like this are not common, but they are always possible.
