@falken A volunteer is upset about the decision to use machine translation for support articles. I know him, I understand his point of view and sympathize, but also understand why we got there — and tried to provide feedback. On the other hand, I despise people that are using that conversation to make a point about Mozilla and AI, having no clue about our community or volunteering in general.
With that said, literally different team. He remains an amazing contributor, active in other areas.
@falken I'm afraid that attempt will be seen as Mozilla trying to bury the incident, while that's been already blown out of proportion.
@falken Toxic environment? I wish you could experience what it means to work "on the ground" at Mozilla, and be surrounded by a lot of smart people still passionate about the mission.
Is it perfect? No. Is it better than most large tech companies? Yes.
My team is small and we would all love to have more folks, but then you need to account for reality.
