Hi Raspberry Pi experts, I can't sort out this error: 'GPIO not allocated' for a HyperPixel 4.0 rectangular touchscreen connected to a pi 4B. Here is the full report I filed at the support forum:
https://forums.pimoroni.com/t/gpio-not-allocated-error-for-hyperpixel-4-0-on-a-raspberry-pi-4b/28950
What can cause this error if no other devices are using the pins? How to overcome it?
⚠️ Best for Britain CEO, Naomi Smith:
“Farage has stopped at nothing in his race to the bottom, including orchestrating a disastrous Brexit that 62% of voters now agree is a failure and normalising a strain of intolerance that risks ushering in a far nastier and more dangerous politics."
Divisive Farage by-election a ...

Germany's massive 60,000-game preservation project collapses after €1.5 million funding dries up — world's largest game archive was entirely publicly available, now abandoned just as Sony kills physical media

HELL YEAH! Torifune is another Itokawa; a contact binary where two asteroids collided gently enough to merge. In the case of Itokawa, the two parts were likely fragments of the same parent asteroid that fragmented during a catastrophic collision, and then gentle bounced back together.
As 1986 rolls into 1987, things are not looking good for Odin Computer Graphics.

This snapshot was taken in 1987 on the "photoshoot" we did for the Sidewize review in Sinclair User. When I say photoshoot, I mean Stoo Fotheringham (photographer) with a disposable camera, Colin Grunes, and me standing next to things in Liverpool city center. Sidewize scored a max possible 10/10 in Sinclair User and a lousy 50% in Crash Magazine. Make of that what you will.
Amazing photo by Cheney Orr of Reuters from today. Black woman sitting alone on the DC Metro with a crowd of masked white supremacists on their way to the capital to march with confederate flags.
There is also a deeper analogy for what I keep hearing over and over from Black people: finding themselves surrounded by white people who either do not know, or do not care, about how America looks from the Black person's perspective.
On July 4, the Chinese asteroid sample return and comet exploration mission Tianwen-2 will rendezvous with 469219 Kamoʻoalewa, a quasi-satellite of Earth, 40–100 m in diameter.
Over the next few months, the probe will study and map the asteroid, collect rock samples, deliver them to Earth in Nov 2027, and then continue on to rendezvous with the main-belt comet 311P/PanSTARRS in Jan 2035.

I have recently learned of this great page, which is a good summary of “things we wish we’d done differently in CSS”…
https://wiki.csswg.org/ideas/mistakes/
…but it only covers low-level stuff.
I wonder whether anyone wrote (or gave a talk) about more high level CSS criticism? Things that come to mind: complexity, bloat, many ways to do one thing, verbose syntax in places, problems with cascading, stuff like that?
I’d love recommendations if something like this exists.
Unless you were largely cognisant during the late 90s, it's very hard to get across to you just _how_ bristling with positive energy computing was back then, just **look** at this opening screen, it screams "ARE YOU READY TO LEARN MOTHERF*CKER?!".
It has dolphins, in the clouds. How many smartphone apps welcome you with dolphins in clouds?
Thanks for the comments all! A couple of people mentioned it but yeah it does have strong Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy vibes!
