@charleslee it can be tough to find people on other servers at first... The global timeline is chaos but sometimes fun, the local timeline is much more chill. You can also search for hashtags like introductions, JavaScript, rust, or fediverse to find people talking about those things. Then you can look at the people talking about those things, and the people they follow, and go down some interesting rabbit holes.
@charleslee a collection of servers all communicating with each other using the ActivityPub protocol, generally in such a way as to let us humans discuss everyday things like what we had for breakfast or, "what is the fediverse?!"
Welcome!
You all know that feeling when you watch a movie for the 20th time plus and still notice things you never noticed before. Don't you? 🙈 #TheRockyHorrorPictureShow #TRHPS
@zash thanks for pointing this out.

@hackers_gifs you mean I'm not in your class?

@Vollmer I've been using it as my note taking solution at work for about 2 years and it's awesome. I really can't run anything there besides MS Office and webpages, and work with info that needs to stay on my computer/network... So it is amazing.
Somehow, even though I've known of it for years, I never actually tried TiddlyWiki until today...
... and I'm kind of hooked on it now. It's quite different than any other tool I've used before, but it's flexibility and performance (so far at least) are rivaling anything else I've tried. And it's a simple file I can sync between devices with ease! 🤯
Just imagining the type and quantity of interactions with park rangers required before this was added to the map. #GuadalupeRiverStatePark #Texas
@dosnostalgic he fixes the cable?
TIL "fugly" is in the #Wordle dictionary.
First case I've heard of where this kind of incident has gone this far, but it's just the start. Apple has a very similar system in place.
