@frayoshi do you like to watch ads, because you know that there are ways to remove them? Either via specific browsers, extensions, or proxies.

As a #contentCreator myself, I tend not to disable them, as they are a source of income for the #artist ..
At the most I use the #BraveBrowser, which shares part of the income with the website/content's owner. 
@frayoshi that's an acceptable reasoning and I would follow though if only third party companies also wouldn't make profit on me viewing the content. I understand that most people publish on YouTube because of the environment it brings, but at the same it heavily tracks every user and creates a watching bubble for each of them. There are other services/websites that build support directly into their ecosystem like odysee. Patreon is a decent workaround and the creator definitely would get more out of it, though not everyone has the financial means to support.
So if you are fine with selling your personal data while supporting creators, that's good for you. Though I just can't with the knowledge that other and/or better platforms exist.

Unfortunately there is little no content compared to YT.. and content that is there is likely not to be from the original author, which makes me avoid to watch given video.
If only Elon Musk could buy also YouTube....
