The sad thing is even after moving in back home and getting a 5 grand scholarship, I'm still going to be paying £4,500 to complete this degree. An extortionate price for many places in Europe.

@Trillenial I've always been a huge supporter of tax-paid education. Which is surprising because I dont like to lean too heavily on the socialism side of the spectrum. But for education it just makes sense IMO. Its an investment the entire country can benefit from.

@freemo Yeah I kinda agree, I would still consider myself a capitalist and I absolutely support free education. But now it's paid there's always going to be a feeling of resentment if it's made free from those who have paid/are paying it. I suppose in the grand scheme of things that's very unimportant though.

@Trillenial Yea thats a hard concern to address. Moreover if we fall into that pitfall then we could never improve the system in general because the people who dealt with it in the past would feel resentment.

@freemo Oh yeah it's absolutely irrational, but people don't vote on a rational basis unfortunately.
