If would seem Mastodon now handles long-form posts much better. In the timeline it will automatically add "See More" when a post is beyond a certain length. Does this mean we can do away with the rule to CW long messages?
@freemo How the long messages from qoto are propagated to rest of the federation? If there is a server not supporting long messages, what will happen? Cut or discard?

@Rado1 Neither, in all cases I know of the message is handled just fine and is displayed in full. The message limit is little more than a javascript restriction on the form.
@freemo I think that has already been available with some 2.6.X versions but yes,you should remove this rule.There are also many people who don't have problems with longer posts and get annoyed of having to click too many CWs.
