brexit
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/mar/29/mps-reject-theresa-mays-brexit-deal-third-time again we see the sheer craven grab for power at all costs even in the face of a hard aka catastrophic brexit. Politics and power corrupt absolutely.
brexit
In 10 days the UK will, like hapless lemmings throw themselves off the cliffs of Dover, but there will be no ferries to take them to France without a permit, and all trade agreements will be null and void. A fuckup as epic as Chamberlain’s Appeasement.
If you’re in the UK then consider stockpiling a couple of months worth of your essential medication and basic foodstuffs as there is literally no coordinated plan from govt on what happens next they are making it up day by day.
brexit
Airlines have no idea what’s going to happen, nor do ships and even vehicles on the Eire/UK border, and this lack of clarity applies to Germany Holland France Spain etc - all coastal borders need to deal with this indecision. Does a truck of Irish Butter need a full inspection at Calais or is it ok to roll straight through with its secret stash of illegal UK steaks?
brexit
@dch what a clusterfuck.
Solidarity with Irish communities saying fuck no to a hard border:
brexit
@freemo @dch I wouldnt. I think Brexit is a foolish nightmare turned reality fueled by xenophobia and nationalism.
I do not support Britain's exit from the EU at all. We've got more than our fair share of political horrors to deal with on the other side of the pond, so I def haven't followed this closely and have no valuable analysis to offer on the subject
