@wes Honestly Ive never understood how it is even possible for someone to be in the far bottom left corner of this chart. Libertarian in its extream means you dont think there should be any laws or at least very few laws (authority). But being financial left means you do think there should be alot of laws, laws which regulate financial industries and reallocate resources based on need rather than free market demands.

These two ideas seem at odds to me. You cant simultaneously want small/no government and want big government wrt to finances.

@freemo @wes maybe there's a third dimension people aren't considering.

There are a great many dimensions other than these two, much more than just a third.. but not sure how that is relevant to my comment. Additional features with which to evaluate doesnt mean that these two dimensions are any less valid.

@freemo I would agree that these two dimensions aren’t necessarily orthogonal in certain structures of governance (e.g the US which is where I live). My summary of the bottom left is wanting to live in a society that rejects hierarchy and authority, but works together and cares for each other collectively.

Not so much requiring the imposition of laws or taxation, but more the desire to opt-in to a society that collectively agrees to do what it takes to preserve personal liberty while cooperatively maintaining its prosperity.
