They often dont. They tend to block people very heavily and few people get in. If they are aware of the fact that you have an account here on QOTO then you may already be on their block list. They block everyone from our instance, for example, and wont let them open accounts on this server if they know you have an account here.
Probably not. But you lucked out they have a history of being abusive to their users. Many of their old users have joined is over the years, many in tears. They are a most LGBT community so most of the refugees were LGBT which makes the abuse from such a community particularly sad. I've tried to reach out to them privately throughout the years to try to bring awareness to this but they have always been exceptionally hostile to criticism.
