Am I the only one getting hit with tons of porn spam? I did a lot of blocking this morning.
I do not wish to consume porn here, or on MeWe, or on Facebook, Twitter, or anywhere else. When I am into porn, I know where to find it and will go looking for it myself.
And if this keeps up, I may wind up leaving Mastodon. Literally, 1 to two PER SECOND? Crowing out the few posts that are far more interesting???????

@lordalveric SPAM as in your getting messaged or SPAM as in it is in your federated feed? If its the federated feed then its simply solved by you muting the whole instance on any instances that are porn based, there are only a few. Solve the problem right off the bat.

Seriously, if it were one or two a day or so, I would not care... but it's more like one or two a second.... just crazy.
@lordalveric Yes, its the price you pay for freedom of speech, you cant have it and then complain when someone else uses it.
Luckily its very easily fixed with less than a dozen instance mutes.
@freemo Indeed. But just because one has freedom of speech does not obligate me to hear it!!!!
I always say that with freedom goes responsibility. The two have to be together for everything to work, and to keep mommy governments at bay.
@lordalveric Of course it doesnt obligate you to hear it ::stares at your mute button::, you have all the power you need to not hear it.
