@freemo You should look for and get some Piri-Piri sauce. At a Portuguese store.
Man, it's lovely, spicy without burn, just nice.

@design_RG I am always **thrilled** to try new hot sauces.. I love spice, and burn isnt a problem, the hotter the better.
I will absolutely see if i cant find some of this.
The name sounds familiar I either had the sauce or the pepper before I think, but I cant remember. maybe I just read about it.
@design_RG We have mexican Chorizo here, a similar sausage by the looks of it.
I'm sure the portugese variety has some differences but its certainly similar. I had the portuguese variety a lot in the Netherlands.
The problem with finding spanish and portuguese foods here is that unless you find a store devoted to spanish/portugese you will find a lot of blending with mexican ingredients and not really get an authentic expiernce.
But yea in terms of food philly has far more ethnic selection than many cities. we love our food and as someone who loves to cook its a nice city to be in.
I will often mix in ethnic foods into what I make. I bought some.
We have a particularly strong italian and mexican presence here which allows me to get some odd food from time to time. I recently found some of this cheese and its sitting in my fridge: https://www.sardiniafooddistrict.com/en/goat-milk-cheese/9-cazu-de-crabittu.html
