In wake of the death of George Floyd at the hands of police, an unjust murder by people hungry with power I just want to remind everyone this isnt the exception in the USA, it is the norm.
Each year we have dozens of innocent or non-violent criminals murdered by police with plenty of evidence and the police almost always get off with little or no punishment, certainly arent treated as the murderers they are. For the sake of clarity I want to make a few corrections...
I compiled the list rather hastily and made a few mistakes
1) there are a few non-US cases in here, most are US though
2) some of these cases arent the result of police killings directly but also include police injustice such as murders that were not investigated by police.
I will have to do a revised list that is a bit more accurate when i have time to fact check this one by one.
Most of them are fairly accurate though.
@freemo I use to side heavily with this. I wrote this years ago:

a while back I started watching Donut Operator (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwkm_Wcyh0pc7UUmZZfL-6w/videos) and .. Jesus some of these people are dumb. Sure some people are victims of brutality but there are a lot of people like this guy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gfjNcNNPns
Huge BLM protest for a guy who, from the video, obviously wanted to die by cop. The cop did everything to try and not shoot the guy. Another example:
@djsumdog For starters to me this has little to do with being black.. black rights in all thsi is an issue but its the lesser issue (its just blacks tend to get more national attention when they are shot so its an easier list to compile).
In reality this is an issue of police abuse of power and an issue we all face regardless of color.
I agree not all people who are shot are innocent, in fact I'd even say the majority were probably guilty. but the point is a **hell** of a lot of innocent people are getting shot and even more relevant is the fact that even when there is plenty of evidence the cop still gets off scott free most of the time.
@djsumdog fair, well we should never rush to judgement..
All I know is a good cop, based on my personal dealings, is a lot more rare than a bad one.
@freemo Yea, I agree cops should be held to higher standards and many are let off when they shouldn't be. As far as % guilty/innocent .. those are difficult metrics to really measure; and departments will try to cover up things/cover their people for sure. Cameras make a big difference for sure too.
I'm just saying it a really complex situation, with a lot of moving parts, and people shouldn't rush to judgement.
