Is there a way to hide all content under a CW? So it gets muted and doesn't show up in any timelines at all?

No no easy way to do it. The easiest way to do it as a user would be to inject some CSS, which is totally doable but will require you to learn a bit of CSS.
Here's an XPath rule that can be used in a compatible adblocker. It works, but causes a bit of flickering as the blocked post loads and is removed in a fraction of a second. Of course, if you want it to affect a different website than QOTO, you should change that.
