A slide built in the 60's in romania. Still up though apparently boarded up. Shame I would definitely play on this as an adult!

Concrete Toboggan slide - Playground Floreasca.

Bucharest, Romania.

Built in 1959-1960

@freemo It is a beautiful structure, light.

They must have wanted to breed fearless children, as the platform at the top must be about 6 m or so off the ground. Paratroops talent scouting, maybe. 😏

@design_RG Its romania, anyone from eastern europe automatically is more fearless than me :)

@freemo Not much of a guard-rail on those STEEP ladders up.

Parents also fearless. Amazing.

@design_RG Thats ok, they made sure the concrete floor didnt have any sharp edges in case the kids fall. Safety first!

@design_RG To be fair the slides I used as a kid were either made of metal so hot you could fry an egg on it or plastic that generated enough static electricity to give you a facial twitch for a week :)
