BRB need to move bottles of 98% sulfuric acid... i always get a little nervous when working with strong acids...
@zleap Molar, or more specifically Molarity would just be a different way of measuring concentration.
@zleap A molarity of 1 would be 1 mole of atoms of sulfuric acid dissolved in 1 liter of water
So if H2SO4 has a molar mass of 98.07848 g/mol (it does),
Then 1 molarity sulfuric acid is a 9.8% solution.. so 98% would be 10 molarity.
@zleap sorry i worded that wrong.. its not "in one liter of water" but rather "in one liter"... so its not 980g dissolved in 1 liter of water but rather 980 grams and then enough water added to make the total 1 liter
@freemo
Back in 2000's I had to somehow dispose of probably 100 kg of various chemicals from my home hobby lab. Nothing extreme but obviously some strong bases, acids, solvents, organics, some slightly toxic stuff etc. Fortunately my colleague from uni runs a company specializing in disposal of things like rocket fuel so it was an easy call 😂
