Nextdoor, at I understand it, is social media for all the neighbors you hope you never have to interact with.
It is somewhat unique.. you cant follow people, they can follow you. app posts are locally public ( as in anyone physically close to you can see it). You cant block aggressive people from posting on your posts, you have no real privacy.
All moderation comes from a single person, your neighbourhood lead. Which is whoever is the most popular in your neighborhood. They have the power to delete your posts at will without needing to follow any procedure, and can do so repeatedly.
its horrific especially when your in a place like philly where everyone has the emotional IQ of a toddler. If you push their buttons they just mass delete your posts
