Not sure what trump has to do with anything either.. there are more than 2 candidates on the ballot for president, there are 4, more in some states....

No, that's not correct. Any of the candidates on the ballot can be the next president. If you get enough votes you become president, and all 4 are eligible to vote for them, so all 4 are eligible for president.

Isn’t it also very important on what ‘side’ you vote? In this case literally red or blue?

as for if it matters what side you vote.. not sure what that means.. you vote for people not parties. In the american system the party doesnt make a huge difference as there are no coalitions as in other governments.

That’s kinda fucked up.. Everyone is so different and how can one hooman make good calls on everything, that should be a team effort
