@freemo If I check CNN News real quick, it seems to corrobate with what I've read in our news. So not sure how democrats stopped caring here?

@trinsec they stopped caring because they were pushing for a much lower $600 dollar amount and it wasnt until trump actually had to make a thread to veto a bill they wanted passed that they started playing ball and now, like last time, are likely going to position themselves favorably and try to make it look like their idea.

Same bullshit with the last stimulus with trump pushing for a higher stimulus and democrats shooting him down and trying to recreate it as their own idea.

Also CNN is not credible news... C-span is non profit and a direct feed, CNN is a for-profit company, they make money off selling news not selling the truth. I wouldnt suggest you use them as a source of information.

@trinsec their past voting and discussion from watching C-span (live coverage of congress sessions) seems to disagree with that. The democrats never pushed for a higher stimulus nor did republicans push for a lower one. Trump had to step in a threaten to veto the COVId bill in order to get it heard at all, prior to that it fell on deaf ears to the democrats. After that Pelosi seemed to support it but thats what she did with the other stimulus plans too, where it wasnt till trump pushed for stimulus checks in larger quantities whe the democrats came in and actually shot down the proposal then rewrote one of their owna nd tried to claim it as their own idea.

Most likely pelosis support post-trumps threat is likely to play out the same way.
