"The risk of #TraceTogether and similar apps is that they normalise a new form of personal data collection, further enmeshing us into what has been called “surveillance capitalism” – a regime in which more and more of our personal information is captured, aggregated, and traded for profit by corporations and governments."
I have not but very cool share indeed, I will check it out, this is the sort of stuff I find fun.
@freemo @Hyolobrika Sorry I haven't looked deep into privacy specifics of Contact Tracing Protocols ... I seriously doubt I can influence my govt 🤔
Luckily in the USA this is still optional, same in the Netherlands. Though its astounding how quickly the people are pushing to give up their rights in that regard.
@freemo @Hyolobrika I'm not giving up my rights ... Yet 😉
Ahh, I know less about singapore's political climate. China scares the hell out of me in terms of personal rights.
The one thing that comes to mind though is I think I recall chewing gum being illegal in singapore. Assuming I'm remembering correctly (please let me know if im wrong) that alone tells me you guys are probably way stricter than I'd find acceptable.
