So apparently cannabis consumption causes significantly lower serum potassium levels (bad) and slightly lower sodium levels (good but not significant). Very interesting. I'd love to find a better study however that does a before and after to see how long and how much cannabis needs to be consumed before its harmful. I'd also be curious to see this done with the various cannabinoids in isolation, I suspect this is caused predominately by CBD given its antagonism towards CB2 receptors but I could be wrong.

@Bradley_JF Not in any practical sense, potassium in any form strong enough to actually be effective as a vitamin requires a prescription and the pills are horse pills that youd need. This all assumes you just need to replace the difference, but if cannabis is acting as a diuretic you may need to have an even higher dose to balance it out, assume you can at all (it is possible and likely that cannabis effect would cause any additional potassium you consume to be lost as well, as that is usually how diuretics work).

@freemo @Bradley_JF I remember training in the humid heat of the deep south. We would usually have to carb load, eat a bunch of bananas and take more supplements on the way. It never seemed to do more than postpone the inevitable heat cramps.

@freemo The CB1 receptors will have their own effects. It's possible that the desired effects can be attributed to a single cannabinoid.
