I couldn't figure out a electrical engineering problem i was trying to solve. So i came up with my own way of visualizing the math so i could try to find a solution by connecting dots. Turned out to be a really helpful approach.

@freemo
you see a similar approach in ancient alchemical texts- the images are symbolic metaphors that transcribe philosophical thought to those who have sufficient knowledge to understand what they're looking at. Otherwise, you're just looking at a bunch of chicken scratch, nudes and moonshiners.

@lucifargundam pretty much yes.. i mean even the words alone are hard enough to follow without domain and time-period specific knowledge. The sigils they use even more so.

@freemo
Imagine finding out a really important mathematical formula that solves a problem formerly impossible to solve- only to realize that the rest of humanity isnt ready for it yet because even your peers would lack the discipline to go through the steps to understand how it works.

Alchemic texts were just encrypted messages they left behind for people deserving to read them by learning relevant information.

@lucifargundam all religious texts tend to have some level of encoded mystery.. the gematria embedded in the bible is pretty impressive in its own right.
