@vital876@mastodon.social yes though keep in mind that may be disabled or may view that instances federated timeline rather than their local one (the servers THEY see, not their own posts). So it isnt reliable. The feature I explained on QOTO works regardless of the remote server's setting.
Yes, the timeline you see will of course be limited by what the server can see. The difference is that QOTO's mechanism is as complete as possible using the remote timeline API endpoint but also any federated posts you have permission to see from all users filtered by server.
So in short it will show you as much of the remote timeline as allowed, more so than trying to view it directly from a server link (usually).

@freemo qoto can only show you what it knows about through usual federation mechanisms, which are not perfect by the design of AP protocol. You can request the local timeline directly from the instance using this web interface:

if said instance supports it, otherwise there is no "reliable" way. There is also subway tooter and fedilab on android that have this integrated in their interfaces.
