I had to have a talk about Ivermectin with a family member. I straight up asked her if she has worms and if not, why she wanted to take horse dewormer.

No one is claiming that ivermectin might not have a role to play in some doctor orchestrated treatments. There is, however, a huge leap from treating a vaccinated person who had a breakthrough infection, and one who thinks the vaccine is a hoax and is injecting himself with cow dewormer because they think its safer and healthy as a preventative on its own.

@freemo @icedquinn @sergeantcat As I have said elsewhere, keeping the treatment from being used is why people are, in rare cases, turning to animal medicines. Doctors won't prescribe ivermectin, and pharmacists won't fill the prescription either. If you're as smart as you claim you should understand the science, but we both know you *trust* the science.

Doctors are allowed to prescribe it. If they do it is called an "off label use". The reason pharmacists arent filling the prescriptions is largely because the supply is nearly impossible to get exactly because doctors prescribing it has skyrocketed. Its not some evil plot trying to keep doctors from prescribing it.

There **is** good reason why it has to be prescribed under off label use however (which means a doctor must first try other approved treatments before moving on to it). That is because we have first line solutions that are safer and have undergone far more trial and scrutiny, and has a much much higher theraputic index.

Nope, as was pointed out many times I never once threatened to sue spinster. In fact when they misunderstood what I said and wrongly took it to mean that I was going to sue them I immediately pointed out that was not the case. As seen below.

I also released the internal discussion between mods when it happened that also demonstrated that this post is correct and the intent was never to sue.
