@GirthyChode@fosstodon.org Generally if its a petite seizure there isnt much you need to do. Don't panic, they will just be a bit spacy or unresponsive for a bit. Best to just make sure they are safe and keep an eye on them.

For a grand mal seizure, where someone is convulsing, then you clear the space of anything hard or sharp they could get hurt on. Do not restrain them, let them convulse. But them on their side and try to keep them there to help keep their airways clear. Watch that they are breathing (they should be), and keep track of how long.

Also as always, call 911 if you have any doubts.

What if they're both convulsing and choking on something?
Or convulsing and their airways are swollen?

If they are choking and convulsing at the same time for entierly seperate reasons then I dont think there is much you could do other than to wait till the seizure is over and then address the choking. But at that point your best to call 911 and let them lead you through it.
