Colchicine is an interesting drug. It is a very strong mutagen (mutates dna) yet somehow significantly reduces the risk of cancer rather than increasing it.

@freemo I can see a few plausible explanations for such a phenomenon. Do we know why that is the case? (I couldn't find references either for mutagenicity or for effects on cancer risk on Wikipedia, so don't really know where to start looking.)
