#introduction

I'm a former science reporter in the US with interests in just about everything. I was a staff reporter at The Washington Post, Science News & JAMA and also freelanced full-time for several years. Since 2014 I've been living in Hawaii, disabled by complex post-viral illness (ME/CFS & other diagnoses). I only write ocassionally now but watch astronomy, ecology, reef science & long covid & related chronic illnesses. I am a #scuba diver & hope to write about diving while disabled.
