@freemo I got nothing to do with this?
@stux@mstdn.social @freemo@qoto.org I think it's about mastodon.social, not your instance
@freemo@qoto.org @stux@mstdn.social mastsn.io, not social 🤔
@Natsu_Kaze @freemo 😮 Can you not see this reply?
@freemo @stux I came over with a bunch of gamedev friends, so I think I'll stay for now because I generally like the community and vibe here, but thanks for running an actual free-speech server. I think letting the user decide is the best way to run things. 👍
I think I'll probably spin my own gamedev/art focused one at some point, too. 💪
@Natsu_Kaze @freemo @stux online freedom of speech is important because of spooks and oligarchs and whatever, but also because there are McDonald’s wagecucks and middle schoolers who want to spin up a discord server and wield their make-believe authority over strangers. On the internet, nobody knows you’re a dog… us actual humans need to make it clear that such petty, Reddit-brained, extremely online behavior isn’t acceptable.
@b_chocolatey @freemo @stux I wouldn't put it *exactly* like this, but I agree with your basic idea, yes. 😅
Free speech can be just as easily attacked by a loud, vocal, semi-anonymous minority as it can governments or rich people. I think it's important to go "no, I'm going to say what's in my head, go away if you don't like it" to unreasonable people. 👍
@Natsu_Kaze @freemo @stux I don’t have a SoundCloud… but follow me?
@freemo wait, what?
