@freemo An iron might also be a good Investment 😉
@AlphaKiloPapa Ha, fair point. I started using a delivery based laundry service for that.
@freemo How much per garment?
For regular laundry it is 1$ per pound including folding (or if you include hangers they will hang it). Dry cleaning is a little over $5 per item for normal items like shirts and pants.
@freemo That's not bad. Your time is probably worth more than that.
@AlphaKiloPapa To be honest ive been so extremely busy I was getting to the point where days I could dress down id literally wear $1 shirts for a day or two then throw it away. It was so wasteful though so i needed to find a better solution. I've been working 80 hour week, so time to do laundry is non existent right now.
@freemo I hauled away 10 cubic yards of ruined designer clothes from a HUD home eviction. At least you were throwing away your own money...
@AlphaKiloPapa They were super cheap to buy, even if i can afford it im not going to be so rediculous as to throw away dress clothes :)
@freemo I've worn the same shirt, literally every day since April, because I found a cheap shirt I like and can destroy and just toss lol
@AlphaKiloPapa Its not a bad way to go honestly... i mean if you get a few days use out of it it might even save you money in man hours.
@freemo They are surprisingly durable. Only thrown out 3 in almost 2 years.
@AlphaKiloPapa honestly i find shirts, even cheap ones, tend to stand up for a while as they dont tend to get much abuse.. its the pants that need to be solid to last.
Agreed, ive bought a lot of cheap pants and spent more per wearing on them then i ever did on the expensive ones.
