@Richard @freemo If the man stays at home and the woman goes to work - assuming that they both produce the same labor - then this does not change the amount of labor performed, or the amount of taxes collected.

When you throw in the fact that women are knocked out of the work force temporarily when they are pregnant, this actually *shrinks* the amount of labor performed, and the amount of taxes collected.
