The real reasons they never say WHY (and so advantage is with them)... (change words like 'Master' ?)...
@worldsendless I agree with you but also the way people use language is at play here I think...
and secondly it could be used to actually to avoid showing the real relationship between computers since in the future which is master and which is slave (as in hard drives and CPU's but more for servers) may be something to cause a fuss about as a control moves into computing (from humans to machines... as usual somewhat... before mechanical chains and now more and more digital).
So under the guise of 'racism' 'just clear this one' someone may be thinking on the board (of the master race of course!) to get that out the way and equalise how computers look all innocent and equal.
(sidenote I don't actually want to go on too long but it's interesting enough for these two points I'll cover quick)
1st point - master has over 10 meanings in 1 word so someone could pick one of those or a permutation of them and make something from it easily. If someone is looking for trouble in the word and has enough money or propaganda/news power or stake or whatever, master could be something from the racist days of white masters making black slaves- easy. You have master banks or other words head / main / etc... probably best 'get rid' of these obvious words if you want to rule people and not tell them how...
2nd point basically US NOT KNOWING their angle is as usual THEIR ADVANTAGE so why they pick this and how it's used in the future NOBODY can say or hold against them UNTIL they say 'we are doing this really because of this and not what we're showing you'... it's what all bosses use or even teachers "ok we're going to do this now" (while having the 3rd step in mind for what they really want to do)
As a bonus additional point for discussion (I'm pretending to give a discussion with other Mastodon people live in my head), sexually there is probably something there.... but some people even like that and EVEN WANT to take turns! So for some people it's used in a positive and stimulating way- which again shows styles of using words and if you are offended then yeah but if you're sure other people don't mean it or use it in certain contexts (history, sexual intercourse, computer hardware) then it more of a logical or other thing...
My long-standing problem is how to stop them changing anything into something and for people not to get suck into THEIR void (would be better if we created our own justice but with them we're never going to win)
Overall I think this shows how words in language can be used as leverage (as per usual)
and clever bastards don't disclose why.
Then around then you have other people who might care and coral others for X Y reasons... and then you make a big cake out of all that.
But what are they baking prey tell?
( HINT: The same shit pie as usual from the old unloving mentalities ! )
The real reasons they never say WHY (and so advantage is with them)... (change words like 'Master' ?)...
@freeschool Excellent points. "Master is a bad word" stems from a rhetorical game (somewhat offensive to those with linguistic inclinations). I suspect the issue is by-and-large American, since we tend to be easily offended these days and linguistically ignorant.
Does anyone know if the "master" issue has caught on outside of the US, besides in those places that are just inheriting the tech cares of the US?
