The Tiny Tiny RSS app will no longer be in the Google Play store... It seems like that'll lead to fewer users discovering it, and further slow death of RSS in general 😥

@finity I think looking to be alive without Google is the other way of saying it. :blobcheeky:

It's all political so would make sense that we would not try to hang on Google to keep things alive or promote us and find another way for us to push things / promote and store them...

@freeschool yeah, understandable. I'm not aware of what issues pushed Fox or anyone else on that team away from the Play store. To me, if you can leverage Google to send your message of "open source self hosted open standards", that's a good thing.

@finity If it's not one reason today it's another reason on the table tomorrow for business like this... they aren't wanting to go away or satisfied... So I see it as 'inevitable' or 'just a matter of time' and that's if you don't already hold strong principles or really see a win like you say... (which I'm not sure of)
Can you say more about the last line... again I'm not sure if you can leverage unless really something a bit measurable...
Seems to make sense nothing that would change the world would be on there for long...
and getting the word out with more politically correct ways again is my things... because I see the ratio of Google's pre-set metrics as formidable (!) or already set in stone for a win

So even users that load up there or getting word out using "Google" in the link or click is :(

(unless it's like a 1 shot kill !)
Sadly I think no.
Google metrics/matrix wins I guess I'm assuming that as soon as you log in / walk through the door... and then every tracking / other stuff from that (which is like everything and else connected to people and other accounts etc!)

Might just have to be the slow and scenic route to some things
off-road :)
