@freeschool
Contracts and limitations enforced by policing.
@lucifargundam
Contract kind of policing?
@freeschool
The policing that carries out the penalties for breach of contract.
@lucifargundam
How to police* the policer(s)
or are we are all doing it etc somehow?
*(if same word as policing)
@lucifargundam
Indeed - Right now I'd personally go for individual justice more than organised / paid perhaps (a family-larger tribe thing considering the modern setting) rather than large overall umbrella paid anonymous thing... and run the risk of raids etc perhaps... rather than opt for consistent corruption or simply not needing them hardly ever (how often we all need police and what can be done after that we don't already have to do on our own? <rhetorical / to myself question)
So what do they do is perhaps not seen as useful and mostly an extension of collecting money / tax / finding problems from rules made for that reason (I think I should stop here and just say policing in today's sense is simply too mixed up to be effective and we might even learn what real problems are and not let others not-take-care-of-it / make profit for oppressing people / causing trouble / restricting justice /protecting bankers mostly).
lol too easily to write a long list about policing...
but yeah let us think how to police the policers or what other way more than list any more maybe :)
@lucifargundam Anything that is too focussed or what is trained almost not to think about the other parts... is a problem for me (I think)
Justice needs a wide-range of sapience / consideration... and I guess I'm going for of a moral solution than tech / hardware / equipment types of solutions... so while it might leave people prone, this trust more than funding military regimes is also an indirect win, rather than arming to teeth everyone because of all the social problems people ignore and even profit from by policing in a bad circular loop.
@freeschool I have a response to that but withheld it because I'm also not entirely sure I understand what you mean. My apologies, but could you reiterate another way? I don't want to mistakenly assume your position or possible proposition based on misinterpretation of what appears to be clear and forward convection.
@lucifargundam You're very wise!
I think I'm not even sure myself but I feel it might be nearer if I say things like jobs I consider as problematic because I believe this is just another tactic in compartmentalising and dividing to the extent where responsibility overall is broken / too divided and actually encourages people to *ONLY* think in their 'jobs' and therefore not getting people anywhere (just in same cycles where one blames other or just blame government which obviously it doesn't mind as long as there is not real change unless government says!). So just focus for people, while 'efficient' is not more-socially-aware or totally responsibility... which is a lot of words to ask for in one sentence but for best or worse something more than horse-blinkered people just running in their pre-designed lanes).
For this topic it feels like this would be better in 2-way audio chat which I'm happy to jump into from now until 1 hour (or tomorrow) also because I know this text may not be enough so you can just ask me in chat to clarify and avoid going the wrong way by text. This is what I use below and works for me best:
https://meet.jit.si/chataboutit
(or any chatroom name - just change end of url to whatever you want)
Let me know when there and I will join if it's within 1 hour of this message or also tmrw could be)
@freeschool
How would you feel about the same modern police force - but further segmented or factored into specific purposes?
Perhaps a residential, a commercial, a traffic division, wellfare check, etc etc.
This addresses all the callouts they receive and allows for easier auditing of their performance/confuct.( Eg. Traffic division doesn't need Swat gear, wellfare check doesn't need Swat gear, etc.)
