The #Paradox of respecting Privacy when it's Online.... is a difficult one. The sheer number of actors and purposes online is used for is troublesome.

Is #Privacy #Online = a paradox?

Capitalists and Vulture Capitalism will always take what it can free...
ultimately disrespecting humans again in the same but but different ways / using different tools it installed.

The "shutting up" method might work but it's not enough from encroaching systems or even normal everyday stuff...

The respecting of the lines is slowly getting worse including people themselves AWARE BUT USING IT saying:

█ "what's the point in putting a sign if they don't respect it "... or

█ "my friends are on it"... or

█ "They already have everything"
(although they can't see or know that)

...which above is also true but what's the answer:
█ not saying "No" or
█ not saying "I don't want you to share my data?"

It is also kind of hard when ****terms and conditions as you create the account**** negate attempts already given away -

So T&C's are big leverage and jumping in point - where you could try avoid them:

█not have email
█not communicate with people using online

⬆️ but it's a hard "do it all or nothing" approach they try corner people on

Perhaps actually this needs to happen to see what we got into incorrectly (all the way back to Google email account) and realise now it's even bigger trap as time goes on and delete that email and start again.

One can't "shut up" to some extent, unless they become unhuman or #dead... but can redo things properly... so while it's tempting to use "always on stuff" "America online" stuff...

█I think 1 FREE EMAIL provider and things like Mastodon (using DM's only) can work as a 'Much better' alignment.

Many people don't mind bad stuff when it's not in their face or coming to their door to say "Hi I'm America, sign here...

█ "We're coming for your children's data and sharing it with 599 partners with this one cookie confirmation":

█ "What I don't see doesn't hurt me...

█ "It won't happen to me".

So there's blame on public as well as #Capitalism. In fact they blur and merge.

Some really good software and willing admins to go against the grain I think is needed and might exist (#p2p #I2P #torrent #TOR and maybe some I've forgotten)

📞 Ultimately after telephones and #BBS ☎️ became commercial broadband, this was never ours.
And the speed of broadband install and infrastructure (digging roads and how fast we got it) gives indication of that, almost like roads themselves built everywhere and then roads losing their meaning or purpose to help all people. Just think of how much you're spent on line rental (per month!) and how that could be done /shared almost for free now it's paid for (I assume now and a long time ago)...
