We have made multiple changes since then.. Have you joined the chat room and keep up to date? Do you need the info again? You can get all the details you want there, you can also follow the code repos directly or any of the other avenues we create updates.
I'll just throw some occasional reminders.
@freemo I think I have feelings already from simplest things like saying things will be and then it not happening... multiple times by yourself...
Like I'll turn it on / fix it / tomorrow / will be in a few days.
And then now offering to join a chat... following code... for what?
Was said as "tomorrow" a few times and just seems too simple to try to imagine what I'd get further.
So no need any of that as it doesn't make change.
You guys are working on something - no doubt and no huge sarcasm in that.
Can't get past the simplicity of saying something and not following through over and over.
No reply helps and even big feelings worthy any more that before.

I mean look, this isnt a paid service, its a charity. So I certainly never claimed to make any specific promises in terms of how quick we can add new features or fix bugs. If you feel the pace isnt something acceptable, you should move servers. I dont say that out of hostility or anger but just as a statement of fact, there is no promise or garuntee of service so if you need better service you should go somewhere that gives you what you need.
I have made it quite clear that I cant promise deadlines, I can at best give wildly vague estimates and if you want a better sense of timeline you would have to come to the chat and ask or watch the progress. That is still the case, at best I can give you generalities.
Everything we said has literally been followed through on, or will be, you are upset at the time it takes, and while that is understandable it is not the same as "not following through"... we just got through with a **massive upgrade** we worked months on and while it took longer than expected we followed through, so it is neither accurate nor fair to say we dont follow through, the timeline takes what it takes and you cant really predict development well.
@freemo All good. Really. People get all this from paid services too.
As for pure-practicalities of moving I would have moved this year if it wasn't for Mastodon not able to move posts and so believe me I thought about it and posted about it and waited for search to do more about it and that just made it that bit harder to find even what I was looking for....
So not deliberate lock in but Mastodon's lack of real offline view and deleting account = deleting posts, does feel like a lock in for sure.
Let's just see how it goes for now...
@freeschool Yea the lack of moving your posts is a bit of lockin. With some minor hacking you can probably get your posts exported to fedipage if you can write a simple script to onvert your exported posts into markdown.
