Take the sign down - Respond to people like me without a name first in their profile - stop filtering when "user hides their name"...

#Ignoring people without a real name I think is not cool. Here's why...
I think you're losing out by only replying to people with names in their profile (and you're doing a kind of #passport #control requirement to #identify people too ⚠️ ) which in many cases of why we are here is not cool.
In your #bio it says (honestly which is good... but not good overall)...

That's not good for movements you're involved with or people for various reasons who themselves are under attack (all of us?) and being persecuted (again all of us) etc etc...
It's not even good or framed right for online usage as nicknames / pseudonyms etc have been used for the longest...

Everyone deserve a bit of a hint AT THE LEAST.
" #Name and #number " type #systems are many nowadays and are the easy catch-all way for people to land in trouble too easily or even contribute to drag-net systems to #imprisoning people as easily as names themselves and without reasons by #owners of systems under less and less actual care or reasoning... You of all people should know that knowing more than the average bear...
...if people like yourself don't mind spreading name identifiers or perhaps feel protected somewhat by your own country, academia, institution. or your job positions (that is also historically questionable) that is ok if that's good for you) just don't expect others to #trust them...
How can you justify needing a name on the #Fediverse ? (ok on Twitter or high-volume place / less educated places _maybe_ ) ❓
But here on Fediverse as lower volume and much more selected / politically (people chose servers of their kind of people...) and seems like that's what you're aiming for too - but how would you feel... just based on a name or even anything almost when there is so much to a person? ❓

It's not a perfect quote against you to show what you're doing (name or academics perhaps nowadays being elites or your filtering being similar) but shows that historically this kind of cutting of the common person (those without name or position) is actually the same mentality that is problematic.
And probably with little reason you go for that for more than not (not all anonymous are 100% scammers - probably nearer 0% on Fediverse, and even then, a crappy post or simple block once in a while doesn't hurt).
So I don't want to scam you - in fact I'm mutually commenting on stuff we clearly both link and want for your participation too with me (or other way around) -
The whole incrementing of trust and respect (call it love for #humanity too) is just not going to happen in what seems as cutting communication with non-names.
Without names is SUPER important and if you really have some better reasoning do say how if not positively...
It's so important that I wrote you... so consider this a complaint.
So I don't want you or I or others to miss out in that way and also enforce a kind of #classism or job title or any divide actually more than look at my account, how I live and say a lot and get to know that instead of ignoring / cutting off so easily.
Again, no big attack but seems you drew the line at needing "names and numbers" (or names and academic position) and a quick look at people's profiles does reveal a lot you can judge from... and that's the *real homework* or people work not just a goofy name to scoff at...
so at least for me - 'unblock' me and allow people in somewhat from afar...
Systems across the board have been doing what you do for ages... Take the sign down.
