In the USA, those of us who understand and can calculate fractions only have another 24 hours or so of halving and doubling recipe ingredients for those who refuse to use the metric system because “it’s too hard.”

@garyackerman Also, measuring ingredients by volume instead of weight is inconvenient, because you need to measure the ingredients separately instead of just doing it in a mixing bowl as you go.

@garyackerman not to mention oddities in doubling the recipe up, 2 cups make a pint, 2 pints make a quart, but it takes *4* quarts to make the gallon... 🙄

And unlike metric it's not universal... 3 teaspoons to make a tablespoon...
