@garyackerman IMHO, vote for better labour laws that would also protect you in the case of literally any other way that bean counters might get the idea they can save a buck by firing random people despite the company doing great.

People were scared about the advent of the plow, the loom, computers, digital drawing tablets, and so forth, which is entirely understandable if they are at risk of getting displaced; which is why I think it's important to enshrine rights that make sure people don't.

Appeal to human emotion. Computers are great at a lot of things, but their very nature as computers undercuts the emotional impact of their work product.

Just like how people spend extra for artisanal handmade drinking glasses despite the fact that we've mastered the mass production of that product.

If you want to work as a corporate drone, you might be screwed. But, otherwise, appeal to our vulnerable human emotions, and you'll survive just fine.
