Speculation is often conflated with evidence. Let’s learn to differentiate the two.

Be suspicious of conclusions that reinforce comfortable ideas.

Interpretations and inferences are not the same.

"We are going to do thing differently uder my leadership."

Yeah... we probably aren't.

On thing I learned during 35 years in education: The leaders matter... a lot.I have been very content and productive in schools when leadership changed and within weeks was discintnet, unproductive, and looking for my next job.

"When did you guys set up the new wifi network?"

Um, we didn't. Look closely, the name is slightly different from the one you should use.

"It is OK to keep using it, right?"

Maybe we start by making all student loans interest-free?

The superintendent is taking t a trip to hear about an innovative new strategy in a different school... little do they know there are teachers doing it in their school right now.
