Lost wages are a cost of education for many of our students.

"Completion matters, but so does learning."

This almost seems apocryphal.

If folks react to your direct reports with phrases like"that's just x being x" when they are a jerk toward colleagues or clients, you need to do your job.

Hey IT... standardization is great for you, but it doesn't always work to users. You gotta be flexible.

Actually AI can sometimes generate text that is spot-on:
"Technology is a tool. In the hands of those who know how to use it, it can be a bridge to understanding. In the wrong hands, it can be a weapon of misinformation. The choice is ours."

Teachers can plan all they want, but it isn't until you try it with this group of students at that particular time, they have no idea how it will turn out.

Just because it has been around for a long time doe snot mean it is good.

Yeah... AI doesn't always give great insight:

"Technology is incredible, but sometimes I wonder if it connects us or isolates us. What do you think?"

Not everything is the result of a conspiracy.

Hey IT... if you don't tell folks things have changed, you can't complain they aren't using 'em right.

Hey users... If you aren't following the steps IT says you need to to get systems to work, you can't complain.

“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”
― Carl Sagan

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”
― Albert Einstein
I'm not sure Einstein ever said or wrote this, but it is accurate.

I took a few years away from presenting and writing professionally to undertake some curriculum development projects. This spring I've had a break from that work, and it feels good to be writing and presenting again.

Don't forget to double check what AI told you. Ask the new AI-powered search!

This, my friends, is why we should not let AI do our writing. Our feeds will be full of things like this: "Just learned about self-driving clothes! Imagine never having to iron again. The future is wrinkle-free, folks!"
