Imagine in assessment system in schools were designed to answer three key questions: a) Does the student have the habits of effective learners? b) How does each student compare to others? c) Can the student create polished work valued outside school?

Innovation is imperative for organizational survival in turbulent times. Unless firms constantly renew products and processes, their chances of survival are seriously threatened.

Make learning "e3" (effective, efficient, & engaging) by ensuring learners apply their new knowledge and skill.

Teachers, enhance learning by focusing on real-world problems. When learners acquire knowledge & skill in this context, they're more motivated, the information is easier to retrieve, & simpler to apply.

Politicians affecting scientific decisions for political reasons never turns out well for large parts of the population. Ask those who were fed (or supposed to have been fed) by Lysenko’s agriculture programs.

I did not see “This page intentionally left blank” in books when I was growing up, nor do I find it in the stacks I have brought home from used book stores... and that is a large sample.

What assumptions do you make about your students?

“None” is incorrect.

“True” and “politically popular” are not correlated.

Clever ideas work until equally clever counter ideas are devised.

“The candidate is not a good fit” is substituted for “this person would be ‘smarter’ than their potential boss.”

Remember, vendors don’t market to those who are critical users of IT and service. They market to those who control the money and who can check off problems they solved. “We addressed that problem by working with...” is a very comfortable and familiar position

No, Zoom is not a great way to lecture at a distance... Google Meet? No not that either... no it has nothing to do with Zoom or Meet... it has everything to do with telling students the curriculum.

It so obvious when leaders don’t understand math.

“As you can see in this graph....” No. No we can't. It is a poorly designed graph.

Editing closed captions makes one question the construct of sentences.
