OK folks, we’ve been Zoomjng for 4 years now. Can we finally get into the habit of not eating on camera. It’s not a good look.

John Dewey suggested thinking should be like blacksmithing. We judge its quality by its outcomes. Sure… but don’t we think there is something beyond behavior when it comes to cognition?

Try thinking in a manner that you avoid self-contradiction. We used to value that character, but today it’s way too common.

I used to work with a person who overreacted to almost every situation. Folks started ignoring them when they went on their rants and walked away when they started. It was effective, although they left the organization complaining about the toxic environment on their way out.

The temperature outside is meaningless. The context in which we know it makes it matter. I sure wish folks cared more about context than they do about data.

No IT professional will be satisfied if their systems are perceived to be difficult to use or ineffective, but they must believe users.

Let's stop saying "we have a small sample size" when we mean "we don't have much data."

Want to see a "data-driven" leader stare at you blankly? Ask them, "Why didn't you use a random sample?"

Who is in your sample? How do you know it is representative of the population?

Standardizing education is fine, unless we need graduates who can solve non-standard problems.

I am accommodating ... sometimes to a fault... so when I adopt "tit-for-tat" it is noticeable.

This is why we should no depend on AI to write tweets: "Phone ringing on voice recognition? New feature idea: ‘Answer the call or scream louder until it stops ringing.’"
