Darwin is an intellectual hero, but on this one, he was wrong:
“A scientific man ought to have no wishes, no affections, - a mere heart of stone.”
― Charles Darwin

“To kill an error is as good a service as, and sometimes even better than, the establishing of a new truth or fact.”
― Charles Darwin

Instruction is assumed to be reliable (it isn’t—at least when we really look and ask).

Assessment is assumed to be valid (it isn’t—really, we have no tests measure or what students will be able to do once they leave school).

Hey IT users... it's been 30 years... ya gotta start taking some responsibility for helping yourself.

“It is always advisable to perceive clearly our ignorance.”
― Charles Darwin

“Great is the power of steady misrepresentation”
― Charles Darwin
