Dismissing disgraceful behavior by leaders. Lets stop doing that.

When we say “everyone has their own truth” we ignore the fact that what happens and how one interprets it are different. We can observe the save set of circumstances, interpret it differently, and both be correct.

We live in an environment of limitless data, some of it collected in reasonable ways, some of it collected in unreasonable ways, much of it just made up.

Our technological powers increase, but the side effects and potential hazards also escalate.
--Alvin Toffler

If educators can engage both the social brain with the cognitive brain, then students are more likely to learn and remember what we teach them.

Teacher know their students… technologists need to listen.

If students are compelled to look away from the screen (to another screen, to a human, or to another resource all “count”), then t is an effective use of computer in your classroom.

If students create something that didn’t exist before they started, then class was worthwhile.

“I can calculate the motion of heavenly bodies but not the madness of people.”

Hey students… ChatGPT is easy to manipulate. From Les get it to do all sorts of wacky things. If you become educated… a process that requires you interact with AI, humans, and other technologies… rather using AI to do your assignments, you will not be easy to manipulate.

AI gives the illusion of understanding… maybe that is why educators are so worried… they’ve been satisfied with the illusion of understanding for so long.

Here is your reminder that the saying should be "it I didn't believe it, I never would have seen it."

I'm in my annual listening to Gould's Mismeaure of Man. I'm finding it particularly depressing to reflect on the fallacy of mental testing this year.

When someone recommends a book on AI to me, I check out the references... if there aren't lots of them, I don't take the time to read it. I'm don't have time for reading speculations.
