The ability to discern information is a very valuable skill that necessitates we understand ideas rather than simply information This is lost on #educators who teach information and ignore ideas.

Reality ruins so many great plans.

I find it distressing to see people, children and adults (too) settings goals over which they have little or no control.

In our tough, complex, and partly random world, many features don’t make sense. It does not mean they are wrong, it’s just they don’t appear to make sense… to you… at this moment.

Stephen Jay Gould said this of Freud’s psychology: It “was bold, wildly beyond data, speculative in the extreme, idiosyncratic—and wrong.”

The same can be said of many ideas kicking around today.
