Framing the problem is as important as solving it... actually how it us framed will largely determine how it is solved... and how others judge the solution.

Rereading what Stephen Jay Gould wrote about eugenics... sigh... insidious arguments never go away.

If you say, “we have always done it that way,” in my son’s office he responds, “I’ll remember that at you performance review... we have always paid you that, so why should we change?”

“If it’s not my way, it must be the wrong way.” This is still way too common.

“Having a good attitude” and “going along with dumb ideas” are not the same.
