Oh dear. I've just been informed that collecting the names of every person on the planet for my naughty and nice lists is, and I quote, “a significant and wholly irresponsible breach of #GDPR “.
I'm going to hand out about 8 billion consent forms soon. If you could all get them back to me ASAP that would be appreciated.
1/ Das war wohl das letzte Flugzeug, was heute vom #BER gestartet ist. Danach waren beide Start- und Landebahnen des BER gesperrt, weil die #LetzteGeneration da Fahrrad gefahren ist und sich angeklebt hat.

I've always loved this ancient hare drawing and the various thoughts on its meaning. Ink on watercolour paper.
Three hares sharing three ears
Yet every one of them has two.

Elon's take over of Twitter has set a lot of things into motion in the digital world
Tumblr and now also Flickr are thinking about intergrating ActivityPub so it will be able to connect to the Fediverse!
A lot of lay offs in the mainstream social media but the Fediverse is only growing!
The world is waking up Social media can be fun but also privacy friendly at the same time, you got the proof now!❤️
No billioaires needed ✅
@debasisg #billionaires funded 15% of the political donations in the last midterm so go figure
@NikaShilobod don't forget to donate to Wikipedia! They don't sell you or your data. It's similarly community driven.
Billionaires funded 15% of the midterm elections. They represent 0.0002% of the population. That's a problem. https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/billionaires-provided-15-percent-funding-midterms
Woohoo!
Our paper on using #Tiktok as a tool for #scicomm is finally out in the Journal of Geoscience Communication. It’s open access, which means that anyone can read it - you don’t need a subscription to the journal to access it. It also has a video abstract (below) so be sure to check it out!
Mad props to @its_sedimentary for all of her excellent work on this!
If you're like me, then you were really happy to learn about Mastodon's enthusiastic support for image descriptions, and you were really eager to join in.
Then you went to actually write something and realized you have no idea how to present visual information in a way that is helpful/enjoyable to those who are #VisuallyImpaired or #Blind.
I found this guide really informative: https://uxdesign.cc/how-to-write-an-image-description-2f30d3bf5546
Of course, I'd also love to hear any additional tips y'all might have!
For all those on #twittermigration - it's the right choice for democracy. The decentralized network of the #fediverse means #mastodon can not be controlled by any corporation. Also, if, for example, some rather "nasty" #instances formed - the most populated instances can disconnect from them. This means that the fediverse is more democratic.
@cyrilpedia thank you first of all for bringing something proprietary into public. I have a question. Do humans learn from these models? As in do they give us any insight into the physics/chemistry of proteins? Or do we not care at all about this and it's useful that we can do this so that we can engineer proteins etc?

What are some "pop-science" books that deal with #socialism #anarchism #communism #anarchocommunism #capitalism ? Or in general about socioeconomic theories
My persona on this social media platform is one that is unashamedly me; without having to conform rigid expectations in society
TLDR; It's gonna be gay, artsy and critical
