@paulg, who until about an hour ago was pretty publicly giving Musk the benefit of the doubt, decided to move here and then got banned there.
Musk is burning it all down, including friendships.
@MikeSmith @paulg this was my last straw for me. I disagreed with many things Musk had done at Twitter, the whole show was very unprofessional but I was still willing to think that perhaps his space program is worth supporting, or maybe that I’d get a Cybertruck when diesel trucks are no more. Not anymore, this was it, the drop that spilled the cup… initially I deleted my Twitter account that I had since 2009. Now it is locked and all tweets deleted.
@MikeSmith @paulg I ended up reopening and locking with all tweets deleted because people here convinced me to not let someone else have my username.

I'm glad to hear that. I've been trying to get the word out... backup your account, stop using it, whatever... DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR USERNAME. Some damned body will use it claiming to be you and say things you WILL NOT approve of, and nothing you can do.
I'm glad you clawed it back. Please do pass what you did and why on to others who may be considering doing the same. DO NOT give up your user name.
