Running NES games the Steam Deck has great battery life, I think when I take it with me on travels I may just NES and 2600 games on the flight. #gamingonlinux #steamdeck #gaming
With GE Proton #HaloInfinte is running better than it has ever run on #SteamDeck. Even the FPS isn’t horrible! I wouldn’t want to play against humans, but for fighting bots it is fine! #gaming
Playing #GarbagePailKids again. Fun modern #NES game. #gaming #retrogaming #gamingonlinux #SteamDeck
My most used controller right now. The add on on the back gives it back buttons and adds gyro. #gaming
I worked late tonight and could only get a few minutes of gaming in. I played #HaloInfinite and this was my best game, in a really far away server because ping was pretty poor. #gaming #gyroaiming
This is the ultimate gaming setup for the streamer who regularly does long streaming sessions. Non-stop gaming with zero interruptions. #gaming
Gyro on and aim assist off. My overall game was not great, but my aim was compared to everyone else. Aim assist off FTW! #gaming #haloinfinite
Tip: Season 3 of #HaloInfinite has no aim assist if you set the joystick sensitivity to zero. This is great news if you want to play on Xbox and map the gyro to stick with a controller like the Armor X Pro. Sticky reticle is very annoying with gyro, this way with zero aim assist you get the normal smooth feeling you’d get with a native #gyroaiming implementation. #gaming
Native #gyroaiming support is not only better for players but also for developers. Developers work very hard to balance crossplay and that balancing controller vs. mouse and keyboard is very difficult. Mouse and keyboard users typically have an advantage over controller users in terms of speed and accuracy. Controller users typically rely on aim assist to compensate for their disadvantage. However, aim assist can also create some issues such as unfairness or frustration.
Gyro aiming can help bridge the gap between controller and mouse and keyboard users by providing more precision without relying on aim assist. However, if developers don’t have native gyro aiming support in their games, they lose control over how gyro is balanced in their games. Players who use software or hardware solutions to enable gyro aiming may gain an unfair advantage over other players who don’t use them. This can undermine the game balance.
Therefore, I urge developers to consider adding native gyro aiming support to their games and platforms (erm, yes Microsoft!). It can improve the gameplay experience for both players and developers by providing more precision, comfort and balance. It can also attract more players who are used to gyro aiming already. #gaming #gamingonlinux
The Hogwarts castle of #HogwartsLegacy is the definitive version of the castle. A digital twin of a fictional castle created to a level of detail that neither the books or movies could do. #gaming
The way we nowadays end up trying different versions of Proton to get a game running perfectly gives me boot disk vibes from the DOS days. 😂 #retrogaming #gaming #dos #gamingonlinux
Today I decided to play #HaloInfinite ranked and this is how I did. Sadly I could only play 3 rounds due to lack of players online (Halo pains of 2023). #gaming #gyroaiming
I played some #AtomicHeart today. I’m not sure I loved the game, but I can see why so many are attracted to this game. #gaming
This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.
