I don't want to post the 375th "guide to mastodon", but it took me a moment to learn what seem to me three most important points in making the mastodon timeline useful:

1) #follow absolutely every account you think could potentially be interesting (since no algorithm "suggests" anything for you)

2) #boost the toots you find interesting (not just favourite them)

3) use #hashtags as much as possible

I cannot believe this has to be said, but here it goes.

Just because you had a primary series of the #covid vaccine does not mean you should be labeled "vaccinated" for eternity.

Immunities wane, whether aquired via vaccination or infection.

From the beginning I called out using the term "vaccinated" to be applied to anyone whomever got even the first series. Vaccinated equates to being up to date on your vaccination.

So of course, the narrative now is "vaccinated" are dying more. 🙄

It's ripe for abuse. The intention is good, but there's no way to shield it from abuse and money.

Check the thread, some even suggested:
1. a scoring system for accounts (a.k.a. China's National Social Credit system) (federated or local)
2. labels (federated or local)
3. If a server doesn't block a user, the server should defederate, or the other admins will block the entire server
4. Algorithms
